Current
research supports Zoo-phonics!
Zoo-phonics is PERFECT
for YOUR Classroom!
Students
gain a firm foundation of the letter sounds and shapes, and soon
learn uppercase letters and letter names and how to apply them
to text.
The
curriculum is age appropriate, developmental, sequential and
playful.
It
is fully kinesthetic children use their eyes, ears, mouths
and bodies to learn.
Children
will begin sound blending, spelling, and writing by mid-year
or earlier.
It
is excellent for ELL/Transition/Special Ed students--a total
physical response at its best because of the concrete Animal
Letters and Body Movements.
It teaches those important high
frequency words, phonetically and easily.
It
easily teaches other more challenging phonemes needed in early
reading and writing (blends, digraphs, long vowels, and diphthongs),
still keeping learning playful!
The Animal letters integrate into
calendar, alphabet song, silly songs, journal writing, art, music,
science, math, dramatic play and physical education.
Parents
will love their childrens amazing academic growth, and
you can train the parents too!
Zoo-phonics
provides a complete Language Arts Program.

Know What WORKS...
"Zoo-phonics
has made a phenomenal impact on the primary reading program in
my school district over the past 5 years! No matter what the
socio-economic background of the students, I see smiling children
who are excited about learning to read and eager to zoo
their letters and sounds for me wherever I go. With Zoo-phonics,
children quickly learn the letter-sound basics and move on to
segmenting and blending. Teachers love the program and marvel
at their students rapid progress. Even veteran teachers
tell me that they have never used a program that gets solid results
so quickly and easily! Zoo-phonics is a multi-faceted program
that meets all of the recommended characteristics of an effective
phonics program as described in my new book, The Threads of Reading:
Strategies for Literacy (ASCD, 2003) and recommended by the National
Reading Panel. It is one of the best comprehensive, foundational
programs on the market today!

I
have 13 students that have been with me from September to June.
These 13 kids knew an average of 1.23 sounds each in September.
I have just evaluated them for end of year assessment and their
average now is 25.5 sounds each!!! (No one scored below 24!)
This means that each of these children is above grade level on
their district sound assessment. What do you think of that???
My school is Title 1, 85% free lunch and 60% English Language
Learners, and only about 1/3 to 1/2 my class went to preschool!
